Centomiglia del Lario
Organised by the Yacht Club Como, this thrilling powerboat race welcomes national and international pilots who compete at high speed across Lake Como, from the outer breakwater to the waters between Cernobbio and Blevio. Villa d’Este is honoured to support this extraordinary event, which can be admired from the hotel’s exclusive Lake Terrace – a privileged vantage point offering unparalleled views of the competition and its stunning natural backdrop.
Villa d’Este Trophy – Giro Aereo dei Sei Laghi
The Giro Aereo dei Sei Laghi is a spectacular seaplane rally celebrating the Lario’s historical role in early aviation. Villa d’Este is proud to serve as the main sponsor of this unique event, which blends passion, skill and beauty in an unforgettable setting.
Launched in partnership with Aero Club Como in 2023, this sponsorship reflects a deep-rooted connection: even in the 1930s, seaplane races took place directly in front of Villa d’Este, symbolising the historic bond between elegance and innovation.
Villa d’Este Golf Club Tournament
The Villa d’Este Golf Club, part of the Villa d’Este Hotels Group, is home to an 18-hole course designed by Peter Gannon in 1926. Nearing a century of history, it is the seventh oldest golf course in Italy and was recently ranked the number one golf course in the country by “Leading Courses.” The Villa d’Este Golf Trophy is the most historic tournament linked to our Group. First played in 1985, it continues to honour its champions each year. This support reflects our enduring passion for the sport and a lasting bond between Villa d’Este and the world of golf.
Orticolario
Orticolario is an autumnal event where nature becomes a source of inspiration for a refined and mindful lifestyle. Held annually since 2009 during the first weekend of October in the charming setting of Villa Erba, Orticolario offers an immersive experience in design, art, themed gardens, rare and collectible plants, and artisanal creations, with over 270 exhibitors. Villa d’Este proudly presents an award to the exhibitor who best exemplifies excellence in material selection, alignment with the event theme, and creative quality of the installation.
