How to reach us
By car
From Milan: Take the A9 motorway (Como–Chiasso) and exit at “Como Lago” (the last exit before the Swiss border). Follow the signs to Cernobbio and drive through the village. After the narrow road, the entrance to Villa d’Este will appear on your right.
From Lugano: Take the A8 motorway (Lugano–Milan), then follow signs for the A9 towards Como–Chiasso. About 200 metres after crossing the Swiss border and customs, take the exit “Cernobbio Lago” on your left. Drive towards the lake, through the village, and after the narrow road, the entrance to Villa d’Este will be on your right.

By plane
Thanks to its strategic position, Lake Como is easily accessible from various international airports.
Milan Malpensa Airport
Distance to Lake Como: 60 km, approx. 48 minutes by car without stops.
Milan Linate Airport
Distance to Lake Como: 70 km, approx. 1 hour by car without stops.
Milan Bergamo-Orio al Serio Airport
Distance to Lake Como: 100 km, approx. 1 hour and 40 minutes by car without stops.
By train
Thanks to its convenient location, Lake Como is well connected by train from Germany, Switzerland and major Italian cities.
Trains to Milano Centrale stop at Como San Giovanni station. From there, regional trains depart hourly to the city centre.
Alternatively, trains from Milano Cadorna run every 30 minutes and stop at Como Lago station, just a short walk from Villa d’Este.

By helicopter
Villa d’Este is equipped with a private helipad, allowing guests to arrive by helicopter for a truly unique arrival on the shores of Lake Como.
By boat
Villa d’Este features a private dock for exclusive access by private boat, available on request through our Concierge.
Alternatively, guests can take the ferry or hydrofoil to the Cernobbio pier, just five minutes on foot from the hotel.
