Vintage Yachting

13 SEPTEMBER 2025

The charm of classic yachting and the excellence of hospitality come together once again in the splendid setting of Villa d’Este for the 2025 edition of “Villa d’Este Style – Vintage Yachting,” scheduled for Saturday, September 13.

Villa d’Este, in collaboration with ASDEC and the Museo della Barca Lariana, will host a gathering of classic boats that celebrates not only their beauty and history, but also the passion and dedication of the owners who embody and pass on the authentic spirit of this event, inspired by Gabriele D’Annunzio’s love for the lake.

This year, Villa d’Este Style – Vintage Yachting will introduce a renewed historical and exhibition format: a selection of unique boats from the Museo della Barca Lariana will be temporarily displayed in the gardens of Villa d’Este, offering guests a rare opportunity to admire true masterpieces of vintage boating and laying the foundation for the future evolution of the event into a concours-style format.

Boats in the gardens of Villa d’Este:

  • DULCINEA – Lancia Inglesina, Luigi Taroni Shipyard, 1920
  • FORTUNATO – Taroni, 1923
  • GLAUCO – Eugenio Vidoli, Stresa, 1933
  • LAURA I – Abbate Shipyard, 1952
  • 007 – Giacomo Colombo, 1964

The event pays tribute to the timeless elegance of motorboats with over 30 years of history — true icons of nautical design. The exhibition will be enriched by a cultural and historical itinerary, curated in collaboration with the museum, aiming to promote the heritage and tradition of vintage boating. Throughout the day, ASDEC’s jury and the technical-scientific committee of the Museo della Barca Lariana will present special awards to outstanding boats, their stories, and the expertise of their owners. This is an unmissable event for enthusiasts, collectors, and lovers of refined lifestyle, set in a unique context where tradition, beauty, and culture come together on the shores of Lake Como.
