Electric Yachting

28 SEPTEMBER 2025

The event, scheduled for Sunday 28 September 2025, marks an important and unique moment in the evolution of electric mobility in Italy, where Lake Como already serves as a benchmark and the ideal setting for celebrating innovation in a context of rare beauty.

Five years on from the first edition, it is now possible to assess the evolution of electric technology as applied to boating, thanks in part to the daily use of electric units within the fleet at Villa d’Este.

One year after the UIM E1 World Championship, which brought the first electric powerboating Grand Prix on inland waters to Cernobbio over the weekend of 23–24 August 2024, this event has proved not only a key milestone in the advancement of sustainability in boating, but also a pivotal moment in strengthening Villa d’Este’s role as an epicentre of innovation and environmental awareness.

Once again, the event features collaboration with the Alessandro Volta Foundation and the Ernesto Riva Shipyard, who will take part in the round table discussion, as they have in the past.

New this year is the partnership with E1 Series, which will return to Villa d’Este with a RaceBird on display, along with E1 representatives among the speakers, to further explore the ambitious Blue Impact project. This initiative sees E1 working with host cities, partners, NGOs and sector experts to address issues related to coastal habitats and to promote the sharing of environmental conservation projects.
