Veranda

Located in the Cardinal’s Building, the fine-dining Veranda restaurant offers glorious views of the lake, gardens and Mosaic. The retractable windows remain open throughout the summer and, weather permitting, diners can savour dinner on the lakeside terrace.

Classic and contemporary Italian cuisine is ennobled with international touches. Executive Chef Michele Zambanini blends ceaseless research and the finest ingredients with the utmost respect for seasonal produce.

In this formal, elegant setting, guests experience haute cuisine alongside a curated wine selection, in addition to professional service tailored to the desires of every guest.

DRESS CODE: Smart casual for lunch and elegant attire for dinner.

To uphold the elegance and charm for which Villa d’Este is renowned, guests are kindly requested to observe the afore-stated dress code. Jackets, long trousers and closed shoes are required for gentlemen at dinner.

The splendid location of the private park and Lake Como would be enough to make the Veranda restaurant a unique place to taste the flavours of the Italian tradition. If then these flavours are prepared with refinement and sophistication and are based on the best raw materials from the sea, the lake and the land, then the experience at the Veranda truly becomes indispensable.

We remind you that it is possible to book at the Veranda even without being guests of the Hotel Villa d’Este.

Chef

After many experiences in Italy and abroad, in 2012 Michele Zambanini becomes executive chef of Villa d’Este. Here he coordinates a team of 40 chefs in the preparation of dishes that represent the best of Italian tradition. The remarkable wine list contains more than 5000 selected labels.
