On July 2, 2023, the internationally renowned Maestro Zubin Mehta, will perform in the iconic setting of the Mosaic Garden at Villa d’Este for an exclusive evening of classical music.
Zubin Mehta was born in Bombay in 1936. He won the Liverpool International Conducting Competition in 1958 and has conducted major orchestras worldwide. He served as Music Director for the Montreal, Los Angeles and New York Philharmonic Orchestras, and has been awarded numerous honours for his achievements. He also supports the development of young musical talent through the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation in Bombay and the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv.
This exclusive event will be held with the backdrop of the legendary mosaic and will feature a repertoire that includes some of Mozart’s most iconic pieces, such as the Symphony from The Marriage of Figaro and the Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550, as well as a host of beautiful compositions by A. Mati. Floral designer Vincenzo Dascanio will craft exquisite decorations to bestow further enchantment on this special event.
The evening will commence with an aperitif on the Platani Terrace, followed by the concert and a gala dinner on the Lake Terrace, where you can marvel at the mesmerizing lake views, while being transported by the sublime classical notes.
The Gala Dinner will feature a specially curated menu and a booklet explaining the Maestro’s career will be available at each table, making this an unforgettable night of music and culinary delights.
The concert will last for approximately 1 hour, and the event will be held outdoors. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be cancelled and all tickets refunded.
