Alba and Langhe, Vineyards and Great Wines
As Italy's preminent wine region, Piemonte is geared to welcoming visitors in search of wines and regional foods. The Langhe area and Alba is famous for its great wines.

The best time to come is fall, but it is truly worth a visit in this vineyards' land at any time of the year.

Alba is to the Langhe what St. Emilion is to Bordeaux: at once the central focus of a most prestigious wine zone and a great and welcoming town for the visitor and wine lover.

This former Ancient Roman town today is wholly medieval in feel. Its 'Cattedrale San Lorenzo', is a rather austere building and some of 14th and 15th century frescos can be admired in the interior.

Not too far away from the main town are the most famous wines' vineyards, just to name the villages of Barolo and Barbaresco after which some of the best wines have been named.

The excursion passes by other important vineyards such as Monforte d'Alba, La Morra and L'Aunnunziata and it includes a cellar visit and a wine taste.

Restaurant reservations available upon request.
