Cardinal Suite

The Villa Garrovo – then named Villa d’Este by Caroline of Brunswick in 1815 - was built in 1568 by Architect Pellegrino Pellegrini for Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio of Como.
In honor of the Cardinal Gallio, the best suite of the hotel has been called “ CARDINAL SUITE “.
Located on the first floor of the Cardinal Building, it consists of a bedroom, a sitting room and two marble bathrooms.
The large private terrace (90 sqm.) in front of the suite offers the best view of Lake Como which is considered the most romantic lake in the world.
The interior decoration include antique furniture, rare paintings and Venetian chandeliers whilst silks, brocade and velvet are the material used to cover sofas, armchairs and beds.
Naturally the suite is complete with all the modern amenities like minibar, safe, satellite LCD TVs (in the living room and in the bedroom), DVD, Hi Fi with I-pod cradle, CD player and USB port, wi-fi.
This exclusive suite is the favourite of many of the repeat guests of the Hotel who like to spend the day laying on the deck-chairs of the terrace or having cocktails with friends in the sitting room.
